Fun Facts
I enjoy going on challenging hikes and spending time outdoors. During my free time, I enjoy bouldering with anyone I can convince to join me. Additionally, I come from a large family, with three older siblings and 7 younger siblings. Because of this, I love spending time with others.
About Me
I am an elementary school teacher who has extensive experience in low-income schools. My professional passions include helping others achieve their full potential and creating positive learning experiences for my students in the classroom.
Experience
In high school, I competed in constitutional law debates and supported my peers in test prep. During my undergraduate years at Georgetown University, I studied psychology and African American studies. Post-grad, I began my teaching career in the DMV educating younger elementary students. I was able to complete my Master's Education at Johns Hopkins University.
Approach
I have always been a hands-on learner, and I have noticed that my students learn the best that way as well. Being able to feel the learning at your fingertips is incredibly beneficial, so I do my best to provide that kind of learning to my students. Additionally, repetition is key. Children, especially, need to see content at least 15 times before they can show mastery. With this understanding, I like to ensure that my students have a lot of repetition during their lessons.
