About Me

I currently work in the Montclair Public Schools. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching from Montclair State University. I am certified to teach social studies and students with disabilities.

Experience

As a orange">tutor at C2 Education for 2.5 years, I helped students prepare for college entrance exams and standardized tests, craft college essays, review for school exams, and write and revise history and English papers. I also taught note-taking strategies, memorization techniques, writing skills, and reading comprehension strategies to both middle and high school students. Approach

For students who are struggling or new to certain material, I find the mini-lesson followed by guided practice followed by independent practice to be an effective method of orange">tutoring. Inherent in this approach is a gradual release of responsibility from the teacher to the student.
