About Me

I am an experienced certified math teacher. I have taught mathematics for 10 years from grades 1st - 12th. I love teaching and learning new skills in math. I also teach math, reading, grammar, and science to adults seeking to obtain their GED. I enjoy helping students get better at their math skills which will develop a love for math. Math is not so difficult once those areas that need building are mastered. I look forward to growing your math abilities it will make you a better thinker and problem solver.

Approach

I teach each student the concepts and then the procedural fluency. Also, if the student needs math intervention to fill in the missing skills (gaps) I focus on those areas as well. Mathematics is a subject that relies on previous skills to master another. I have the knowledge to determine which previous skill the student needs to master to improve their math abilities.
