Fun Facts

I love the interconnection between all systems of nature. I have always found science and the natural world to be so fascinating and math has always made sense to me, which is why I combined the two and pursued a degree in biotech. I love wandering outside and experimenting with creation so I find joy in hobbies like cooking, hiking, gardening, music, etc.

About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Georgia where I studied Biotechnology with an emphasis in plant science. I have a lot of background in science, math, and lab practices. I worked in a lab where I studied salmonella cultures and worked as a shift manager for a pizza place while in college.

Experience

While studying at university, I volunteered at a program called ULead where I was able to use my skills to springs">tutor students and prepare them for college. I also have experience working in a lab and training new hires.

Approach

When you’re young, seemingly small moments can have a huge impact on you. A mentor believing in you or taking the time to help you could be remembered for the rest of their lives. To me, there’s nothing more gratifying than seeing that “aha!” moment when something finally clicks. I hope to be able to take different approaches to teaching class material as there’s not one uniform, linear way of teaching that works for every student.
