Outside of my social work I love art and writing. I have written pieces published in different independent literary and art zines.

About Me

I am a graduate student at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Master's degree in Social work. After graduating, I would like to work for different nonprofit youth organizations to provide mental health services for high-risk communities. I hope as well to obtain a doctorate in either Psychology or sociology and continue to offer services to nonprofit youth organizations and start my practice.

Experience

I have experience as a tutor for preschool-8th grade students at the Center for Pan Asian Community Services. Shortly after my time as a tutor for that organization, I became a site manager as well for the Center for Pan Asian Community Services' youth program. After my time at CPACS, I became a class instructor for the nonprofit organization, New American Pathways and worked with students K-3rd at the International Community School located in Decatur, Georgia.

Approach

I have worked with just about every child in every age group. My approach to working with each student differs from group or individual students. I like to tailor my tutoring to what best works well with how that child processes information and understands different skills. I always want to motivate and encourage those I tutor to never be afraid or ashamed to reach out and ask for help. We are all different in many special ways and good at different things.
