Fun Facts
I love to spend time with my family, read books, cook, and travel around the world to learn new things and meet people.
About Me
I am from El Salvador and I love teaching a world language because I believe that the cultural understanding and communication that another language gives are the keys that unlock many doors in our world today.
I teach because I want to help students build their futures and shape their lives. Teaching Spanish is one of the best things that I like to do. My teaching style and techniques are involved daily as I learn through professional development, my colleagues, and most importantly by listening and learning from my students. I am very passionate about education because I am a constant learner myself. I believe that two elements in a classroom are keeping students motivated and creating a learning community
I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Texas and a Master's in Learning and Teaching from Lipscomb University.
Experience
I have been teaching a Spanish teacher for 16 years. I have taught Spanish for middle school, High school Spanish I, II, III, IB Spanish, and AP Spanish Literature.
Approach
As a second language learner, I understand all the challenges and fears that it brings to learn a new language. I learned that there is something new to learn every day in a language even if it this your native language. Practice is the key to improving your language skills.
