Fun Facts

One fun fact about me is that I actually like to play video games. I am older so I still love Sonic and Mario but I also really like playing golf on the Xbox. I find I really like the sport and it's really relaxing.

About Me

I am currently a kindergarten teacher at a public charter school here in Florida. This is my ninth year teaching this grade level and I absolutely love it. I am always striving to learn new and innovative skills to motivate my students.

Experience

I have also had the opportunity to teach Voluntary PreK here in Florida before teaching kindergarten. This gave me the opportunity to really learn how to teach small children. Over the past five years, I have had the opportunity to teach the English language to adults and children who are located in South Korea. I have also had an opportunity to provide Reading skills online to school-age students.

Approach

As a teacher I have found that all students can learn but at the level that they are currently on. As a result, I am always researching the best methods to use when teaching my students. I try to provide a safe space and an environment conducive to students learning using research-based techniques. I use a variety of methods in my classroom and online to ensure that my students are learning, even if that means I need to change my approach to better suit the needs of my students.
