About Me

Hi there! My name is Safia Hossain. I’m a junior majoring in Psychology at City College of New York. I’m passionate working with children and dedicated to making a positive impact on young minds. My diverse background equips me to work with children from all age ranges. I have extensive experience working with children in various settings including tutoring, mentoring, and supporting classroom management. Assisted students in understanding and completing their homework assignments & projects from grades 3-5 subjects like English, History and Science. Provided guidance on effective study techniques and time management.

Experience

I had the opportunity to be a private tutor for a year-long, tutoring students from grades 3-5 twice a week by helping them complete their homework assignments in subjects like English, History, and Science.

Approach

As a child, I struggled in class and was not able to comprehend many things as other students. My middle school ELA teacher gave me words of encouragement and acknowledged my work which gave me confidence to write and inspire others.
