I am an avid theater lover; I love acting, singing, dancing...you name it! I also love to write, especially fiction.
About Me
I am currently a senior education student at the University of New Hampshire's continuing education program. I have years of experience in the early childhood education classroom as well as working with elementary education students. I am married with two children, ages 12 and 9.
Experience
As a student at Rhode Island College, I tutored students in grades K-3 as part of The America Reads Program in reading and writing skills.
Approach
My approach is to use positive encouragement and repetition to reinforce concepts. I believe in celebrating small victories and improvements.

Theatre
Arts Tutoring
I have an AFA in theatre so I am a trained in acting technique as well as technical theatre and theatre history, graduating summa cum laude.
English Tutoring
As part of my degree in both Early Child Education and Theatre, I have taken many English courses, achieving the highest grades in each of them and as the mother of a middle schooler, I often help my daughter with her English homework.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading comprehension is a vital component of my college courses and I excel in it. I also help my 12 year old with reading comprehension in her 7th grade classes.
Writing Tutoring
I took many writing courses and received A's in all of them. As an Early Education major and a mom of an elementary school student, I'm aware of what is required for elementary writing.
Reading Tutoring
As an early education major, I've studied reading and also tutored reading at the elementary level for those children in grades K-3.
