Fun Facts

In my free time I love to read, this past summer I read over 10 books! My favorite book is " The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I also love to play boards such as Monopoly and Uno. I have a toy poodle named Ollie who I play fetch with every day.

About Me

I graduated college in May of 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I was on the Dean's List for 3 semesters and earned Cum Laude. I was a student teacher in a kindergarten classroom. Currently, I am taking some time off to study for the licensure exams, with the goal of becoming a kindergarten teacher in the future!

Experience

I have 3 years of experience working with children ages 5-8 as a youth development professional at the Boys and Girls Club of Central New Mexico. I completed my student teaching at Tierra Antigua Elementary. I have also worked as a camp lead for the 5-8-year-old group for last year's winter and summer camps at the NM Museum of Natural History and Science.

Approach

As someone with ADHD, I have struggled with school my entire life. I was placed on IEPs from elementary through middle school and received accommodations in college. Because I have a learning disability, I know how difficult and frustrating it can be to learn and complete school work.
As I discovered my passion for working with children, I realized that for the students who may struggle like myself, all it takes is for someone to understand what they need to believe in themselves/succeed!
