Pre Algebra Tutoring

I have experience teaching pre-algebra to primarily 6th graders. I try my best to make math concepts relate to real life (i.e. how fractions relate to baking). I also will patiently move through the material as thoroughly as I can using different forms of repetition until you have mastered the concept.

English Tutoring

Whether it's reading comprehension, writing, the actual act of reading, or anything in between, I promise to meet you where you are and slowly teach you the tools needed to understand the material as well as the grade level appropriate level of skill required to succeed in your class.

History Tutoring

One thing about me is that I am passionate about history. I am always making connections between the past and the present and I will bring this approach into our sessions. I will challenge you to look at a history unit and realize its significance not only to that specific time period but also to today.

Math Tutoring

If your struggle is order of operations, if it's basic arithmetic, or even if it's having trouble with adding on to previous understanding, I will work with you to make sure you master one concept at a time (at your own pace of course), but I will also challenge you to build on that understanding over time, meanwhile celebrating and encouraging you every step of the way.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I know from first hand experience how hard reading comprehension can be, but I've found that taking it slow is very helpful. In taking the slower approach, I will give you tips and tricks in how to analyze a text and I will use a variety of techniques in ensuring your comprehension of the text.

Writing Tutoring

I will ensure grade level appropriate writing based on the assignment given. I will help you with spelling, grammar, sentence composition, as well as appropriate style (i.e. informative, narrative, opinion, etc.).

Music Theory Tutoring

I've been playing piano since I was 6 years old and I was always taught music theory first, instrument second. And since I was exposed to this approach so early on, I have used it in all my musical endeavors, whether for piano or for singing. I believe that music theory concepts are the building blocks for every instrument in any style and I will bring this attitude into our sessions.

Social Studies Tutoring

Being exposed to history at a young age is, I believe, critical to your understanding of the world around you. In understanding the past, you will better understand your present and I will do my best to help you make these connections through various tips and tricks depending on your area of struggle.

Piano Tutoring

I have been playing piano since I was 6 years old and I primarily have an emphasis on music theory. It is through this lens that I will help you with a given assignment and I will give you tips and tricks to help clarify any confusion or struggle.

Voice (Music) Tutoring

I have been singing since I was 13 and have experience in jazz, R&B, musical theater, pop, and choral. I specialize in vocal pedagogy, which is just a fancy phrase for how to sing properly, and I will teach you tips and tricks in how to realize your true vocal potential.

Reading Tutoring

I understand from first hand experience how challenging reading can be, but through our sessions, I will help you with sounding words out as well as understanding what they mean.
