Fun Facts
In my spare time I love to listen to music and see live concerts, I love spending time with my friends and family too whenever I can. My favorite season is summer because I enjoy outside activities like going to the beach and having bonfires with my friends. I do not have much experience in traveling but when I get the chance I want to travel all around the country and the world!
About Me
I am a current sophomore at the University of Loyola Chicago studying Public Relations and Advertising as a Communications major. I am also studying Anthropology as a minor. I am from a big family, I have six sisters and two brothers and I love it! Most of my siblings are older than me, but I also have three younger. I am so close to all of them and I definitely appreciate the values and morals I have learned from growing up in a large family with awesome parents.I went to a very small, all-girls private school from 6th to 12th grade (The Willows Academy). The friends I have made there are very important to me because we spent so many years together in a small class room setting.
I have a lot of experience working with younger kids because I have been babysitting since I was thirteen. I have been put in charge of children from ages 1 to 13 throughout my years of babysitting. I tutored in high school as a responsibility to being a member of my school's chapter of National Honors Society. Most of the girls I tutored were foreign exchanged students from Spain and Mexico who needed extra help with different subjects they were having trouble with because of the language barrier. I also have younger siblings that I often times help with homework.
I believe the most important thing to begin with when chicago">tutoring and mentoring is getting on a one on one personal basis with the child or young adult. I am a very personable and social person, I like to get to know people and I think it is so important for the person being tutored to feel comfortable with whoever they are working with so that they can get the most out of the experience and not be afraid to ask questions or really explain if they are having a hard time. I want to be able to be someone that can make a difference in the learning process of an individual. I also think it is very important to prepare beforehand in order to get the most out of the chicago">tutoring session instead of wasting time or not fully teaching the stu
