Something you will learn about me is that I am a huge cat lover! I have two cats and I also foster kittens. I am originally from Seattle, WA and love fall weather!

About Me

I am currently a PhD student in Higher Education and a professional study skills coach for college students. I am passionate about helping students from all backgrounds and all different ability levels. I will meet you where you are and help you engage with the material in a way that is meaningful to you.

Experience

In my current role as a Learning Specialist, I help college students with study skills, reading, writing, note taking, exam prep, communication, public speaking, and navigating the college environment. I tutored students in high school and college in subjects ranging from reading and writing to ASL and biology. I have extensive experience teaching in a one-on-one environment through my work as a coach and counsellor in the mental health field and my work as a higher education professional.

Approach

I am warm and empathetic and I care about helping students relate their learning to their lived experience. I like to use analogies to help students understand concepts. I will meet you where you are at, and hopefully, help you not only learn but engage with your material!
