Although I have a huge passion for mathematics and STEM in general, I always like to balance this out by creating my own artwork, playing music and being outdoors.

About Me

I have graduated from the University of New Mexico in December 2022 with a BS in Mathematics education and a minor in psychology. I am aiming to get apply for my masters degree for the fall 2024 semester, however, I am currently gaining job experience until then.

Experience

I had my first teaching experience in the summer of 2022 as a teacher's assistant for a math-based summer program. From there I received my substitute teaching license and began subbing at numerous schools in the APS district. This helped me gain experience in controlling a classroom and also being able to adapt to a different environment daily depending on my designated task. The following year in June 2023, i worked at the same summer program, but this time as a teacher.

Approach

My approach to tutoring and teaching is to first be able to understand what is being asked by the student. While some questions may be easy to tackle, there may be the circumstance where the question might lead to more questions. I think its important to be able to answer these questions in multiple ways until it can be brought to light. In addition to this, it is important to make sure the student is the one solving the problems rather than myself.
