About Me

I was raised in Houston, Texas, and attended Fort Bend ISD schools. I have three sons and one cat. I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering, cooking, traveling, museums, and festivals.

Experience

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from houston">the houston">University of Houston with a 3.6 GPA and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Lamar University with a 3.9 GPA. I have been an elementary and middle school educator for 20 years and have taught grades K-8. I have worked as a general education teacher, education/texas/houston">special education teacher, education/texas/houston">special education department chair, IEP facilitator, gifted and talented teacher, ESL teacher, AVID teacher, and campus team leader. I have also been a teacher

Approach

I believe in a student-centered approach to learning. As the teacher, my primary role is to coach and facilitate individualized student learning and overall comprehension of the material.
