Fun Facts

Well, for one, I have the same birthday as Donald Duck! But on the serious fun side, I am the author of a beautiful, non-fiction picture book, soon to be available as an ebook, with two publishers interested in taking the book to market.

About Me

I am a successful sales professional turned ELA tutor and a queen of grammar. I have many years in the education field selling children's book to libraries and schools throughout the US. In turn, I developed a love for children's literature and a desire to help more children learn to read. The future depends on it!

Experience

I am an AmeriCorps Reading Corps Tutor Alumni, having tutored pk-3rd grade reading at General Mitchell Elementary School for the 24/25 school year. I am a hard study of research based methods of learning instruction. I have both a BA and an AS, I am also currently enrolled at UW Stout Masters in Education program.

Approach

I have great tools to help engage children if necessary: puppets, early picture books, flash cards, a writing tablet. I also have access to many reading tools online. Outside of any guidelines your child's teacher gives me for a lesson plan, I am guided by research based methods of reading instruction. I have a comfortable home office, and children will enjoy learning from me.
