Hello and thank you for reviewing my profile! The biggest fun fact about me is that I have the same birthday as Donald Duck. I am also the author of a rhyming, nonfiction picture book with plans to publish in the near future.

About Me

Hello, I am a graduate of Alverno College, which is #14 on the Best Women's Colleges in America list for 2024! I have many years in the education field selling children's book to libraries and schools throughout the US. In turn, I developed a LOVE for children's literature and learning.and a quest to be a reading tutor.

Experience

I am an AmeriCorps Tutor Alumni, having tutored K1-3rd grade reading at General Mitchell Elementary School for the 24/25 school year. I am a hard study of research based methods of learning, phonics. I am very comfortable using a script using any reading program or lesson interventions. Finally, children love me and feel comfortable learning from me.

Approach

I have great tools to help engage children: puppets, early picture books, flash cards, a writing tablet. I also have access to many reading tools online.. Outside of any guidelines your child's teacher gives me for a lesson plan, I am guided by research based methods of reading instruction outside of Frog tutoring framework..
