Hello and thank you for reviewing my profile! I wrote a rhyming, nonfiction picture book and have two publishers interested in taking it to market! I also have the same birthday as Donald Duck!

About Me

Hello, I am a graduate of Alverno College, which is #14 on the Best Women's Colleges in America list for 2024! It is my strong conviction that reading is critical for future generations. With social media, the use of voice to text and AI, we need real-life creative persons, and that will only happen through a strong foundation in reading and writing!

Experience

I have many years in the education field selling children's book to libraries and schools throughout the US. In turn, I developed a LOVE for children's books and knowledg if reading levels, book formats, the importance of repetition, rhyming, phonics, etc. I have excellent communication and spelling skills, and I am a self proclaimed queen of grammar.

Approach

It seems children are drawn to me, so I believe they will feel comfortable learning from me. I have several puppets, a dry-erase board, a small library of picture books, and a few early chapter books. Outside of any guidelines your child's teacher gives me for a lesson plan, I am guided by and a study of research based methods of reading, using core meanings of words, disecting and pronouncing words, phonics, vocab. I am familiar with Accelerated Reader and reading levels for testing.
