One important aspect of myself is that I am an Eagle Scout. I pride myself on my ability to execute large-scale tasks and set people up to succeed (as well as spending a healthy amount of time in the outdoors.)

About Me

I am beginning my senior year at Wingate University as a Mathematics and Education major with a minor in Spanish. I have been on the President's list for 4 semesters and on the Dean's list for one. I plan to work for North Carolina as a high school teacher after I graduate in 2024.

Experience

I have worked as a Calculus class TA for 2 semesters, and have 2+ semesters of certified field experience hours working the high school math classroom

Approach

Growing up as a student enrolled in the North Carolina public school system, I felt as though the math classes I took left much to be desired with regard to receiving well-rounded instruction. This is why I aim to support large ideas through multiple approaches and interactive demonstrations. I believe that math can be taught symbolically, but can be understood and interpreted in a myriad of ways, none of which should be discouraged.
