Fun Facts
I enjoy scuba diving, being an open-water safety swimmer, and climbing volcanoes.
About Me
In 2015, I graduated from California State University, Chico with a double Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and Psychology. During that time, I played water polo and worked as a swim coach, athletic official, mentor for students on the autism spectrum, and high school tutor.
Since graduating, I’ve worked as a K–12 multiple-subject educator, with a strong focus on small-group and one-on-one instruction. I have organized after-school academic programs, founded a Spanish language acquisition program, and completed professional development in inquiry-based learning. I also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Massachusetts Global.
I look forward to getting to know your student, understanding their unique strengths and needs, and helping them reach their full academic potential.
Experience
I have primarily worked as a Kindergarten-12th grade multiple-subjects teacher in roles designed around small group and individual instruction.
Approach
During lessons, the individual needs of each student will be prioritized with a focus on increasing academic proficiency as well as the confidence needed to develop a growth mindset and lifelong passion for learning. We will connect prior knowledge to new strategies and concepts, which provides students with an understanding of how to solve real-world problems related to their academic goals.
