I am passionate about traveling. I love learning about new places, cultures, and languages. I have been to nearly 70 countries on all 7 continents and have lived on four of them. I spent over 10 years teaching English in Qingdao, China, and have now lived in Argentina for well over one year.

About Me

After spending a decade in China teaching English to children from ages 2 1/2 to 15, I have since moved to South America and transitioned my teaching practice to an online platform. I still teach students from China through Zoom.

Experience

In the years I spent in China, I primarily worked at the same kindergarten but also supplemented my experience by teaching at various language training schools and middle schools. I have been teaching online for over one year.

Approach

My teaching philosophy is that “you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.” As such, I develop the students’ self-confidence and self-worth with an abundance of praise but also offer gentle correction that makes them feel good about themselves and therefore enjoy learning a new language.
