A fun fact about me is that I love running and wellness. Going for a run is one of my favorite ways to workout and I enjoy the scenery outdoors!

About Me

I am a devoted educator who thrives on seeing students make connections to what I’m teaching. With a background in journalism, I’m able to bring a unique perspective to the classroom and help my students learn to be more inquisitive.

Experience

This past summer, I got the opportunity to work with the International Rescue Committee as an ESL refugee youth teacher for their summer program and it was the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had! Before that, I was a social studies and journalism teacher at a Catholic elementary school as well as the journalism advisor for the school’s news blog.

Approach

My approach is to always lead with kindness and patience when teaching students. I always remind my students that there are no silly questions and this creates a safe learning space for them. I make sure to approach my instruction this way because students need to know that I’m there to help them.
