Fun Facts
I love working out, relaxing, and my dogs. I teach a dance fitness class and have been a competitive powerlifter. I have three dogs: Etsumi, Roshi, and Kenji. My husband and I love to sit at home and watch movies while eating homemade pizza!
About Me
I am a full-time elementary education teacher. I teach a classroom for students with disabilities. I have been a teacher for 9 years. I have also taught ESL to students in China virtually. I hold a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and education/kentucky/louisville">Special Education, a Master's in Educational Technology, and a Master's in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis.
Experience
I have taught all grade levels and all subjects K - 5 for the past 9 years. I have tutored in reading across all grade levels, K through college. I worked for VIPKid, a virtual teaching platform teaching students in China English as a 2nd language.
Approach
I believe all students can learn. I have experience breaking topics down to their smallest level, teaching prereqs to make sure the student learns the topics the best way possible, and teaching using a variety of strategies. Using manipulatives, technology, and different learning styles is the best way to reach learners.
