Fun Facts

I have been playing sand volleyball with my family on most Monday nights for almost nine years. I love to spend afternoons outside on a blanket in the grass watercoloring or crocheting. One of my bucket list items is to own a pet chameleon, a desert rain frog, or maybe both!

About Me

I am a senior Psychological Sciences major at Northern Arizona University. I have been on the Dean's List every semester that I have attended NAU. I am also a Mathematics Secondary Education minor and I plan to become a teacher after I graduate! I also plan to earn my master's degree in education to further my growth as an instructor.

Experience

Since grade school, I have been tutoring my peers and their younger siblings. In high school, I worked for the Glendale Union High School District and tutored an online honors geometry summer class and an ELL algebra class. I have taken multiple college education classes during my time at NAU, including two classes that provided me with practicum experience in a 6th and an 8th-grade classroom. Working for Frog Tutoring allows me to continue my passion for helping students achieve their goals!

Approach

My time at NAU has provided me with the tools and resources to create a safe and fun learning environment where students are excited to learn. I guide students as they explore material and build off of their prior knowledge to create new connections. My goal as a tutor is to create a safe space where students feel comfortable and empowered to learn!
