Fun Facts

One thing that all my students, family, and friends know about me is that I have an obsession with Star Wars. In my classroom I have an entire wall decorated with Star Wars themed posters!

About Me

I am a 7th Grade Reading and Writing Teacher in a public school. I completed my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education (grades 6-12) with a focus on English education with a 4.0 GPA at Arizona State University in 2023. While there I also earned 3 different minors: civic education, history, and sociology.

Experience

As a current English teacher I regularly work with students in an academic setting to support their reading/writing growth based on specific and measurable objectives. Prior to becoming a public school teacher I was a student mentor at Arizona State University providing one-on-one direct support to students in a classroom setting.

Approach

I struggled with education until I found teachers that authentically cared and wanted what was best for me, and the same holds true for my teaching -- I'm clear, direct, and honest while holding high expectations that are grounding in standards based practice.
