Fun Facts

Fun facts about me are that I love to read about math in my free time. I find it so interesting how math can be applied to nature. I also love to cook bake, and skateboard.

About Me

I am a senior at BCCC about to transfer to Morgan State University. I facilitate a book club, called Noname Book Club, where we have analyzed books such as Barracoon, Things Fall Apart, Discourse on Colonialism, and many more. I may dive into 3 or 4 books per month. I am also an active member of my community, where I help analyze laws and break down speeches and complex ideas to form a better understanding of things for my community.

Experience

I have experience in reading, writing, and teaching others through facilitating a book club I was recruited for. I also have experience writing for the organization Santifa’s Lounge, where articles and papers are interpreted and made easier for others to understand.

Approach

My approach is to make learning more relatable and applicable to my life. I often struggle to understand things that don’t relate to me, but through framing, I have made it possible to learn much more than I could before. Through breaking texts down, and making sure the meaning of every word is explained, I have found it much easier to be able to read and pull out valuable, meaningful, and comprehensible information.
