Fun Facts

In addition to enjoying languages, I also like gaming. I enjoy playing video games as a hobby (usually solo role-playing games) because I enjoy the stories that a player can create through a character's actions and choices. I also enjoy traveling, having been to Spain, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Canada, around half of the United States, and recently moving from Wisconsin to North Carolina in 2022. Finally, I love animals, especially dogs because I've almost always had one.

About Me

I am an English tutor with a double major in English education in Spanish education with an emphasis in writing from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I have always enjoyed teaching, and as a result, I have taught in many different places and met many different types of people through it. I am considering taking that further and doing post-baccalaureate work to eventually become a college professor, especially because college students are my favorite type of student to tutor. I also really enjoyed my college English courses and would love to help others do the same.

I am an English language arts tutor particularly skilled in writing. I have tutored mostly online, although I do have some experience tutoring in person. I can teach middle school up to adults, but my main experience and the area I work best in is older high school and adults. Approach

I've always enjoyed learning and seeing others learn. So I decided to go into teaching to help others learn and to spread my passion and knowledge to them. My biggest approach when teaching is to use questions to get answers. For example, if a student has trouble brainstorming, I might give them suggestions of things to try in the form of questions (EG what about this idea or this concept in a certain subject that the student has mentioned).
