For fun I love creating, reading, running, and being at the beach. I have 2 daughters and 2 dogs. I love purple and teal, Target, Starbucks, and Amazon!

About Me

I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, Master's in Reading Education with an AIG Certification from charlotte">UNC Charlotte and an Administration degree. I am a Nationally Board Certified teacher in ELA! I have been teaching for 21 years in 1st grade through 12th grade.

Experience

I have been teaching for 21 years in 1st grade through 12th grade. I have taught Title 1 Reading, mentored new teachers, student teachers, and students. I have had multiple leadership roles. I currently teach STEM at the high school I graduated from.

Approach

I believe that all students can grow. My goal in any classroom, in person or online, is to use best practices and the most up to date research to help students grow. My focus is on their growth and celebrating all milestones, big and small! I am very positive and try to find the positive in any situation with any students to help them build confidence and feel successful.
