About Me

I am a second year doctoral student at Northern Arizona University. I am working towards a doctorate in occupational therapy with a certificate in culturally centered addictions research. I’m in my second year of my program and have enjoyed every second!

Experience

Throughout high school I was definitely what you would call an ‘overachiever’. I was in the National Honor Society, concert master of the orchestra, and took over 15 AP classes across all subjects. In college, I went the psychology/sciences/medical route, but am still comfortable with material across a variety of subjects. I currently work as a substitute teacher and am aware of current curriculum across school subjects.

Approach

As a student who has ADHD myself, I understand the need to meet a student where they are at no matter their age or what their individual needs may be. It is important to celebrate all successes, focusing on the positives rather than harping on the negatives.
