I enjoy playing chess with my nephews! I recently moved back to Tennessee. I enjoy imaginary numbers and strange number systems. I like to follow the stock market.
About Me
I have taught mathematics since 2009, and I have tutored on and off for fifteen years. I have lived in South Carolina and Georgia over the past fifteen years. I now live in Altamont, Tennessee with my wife and daughter. I have tutored for about 20 years and taught full-time since 2012.
Experience
As a graduate teaching assistant, I tutored students in the lab at Middle Tennessee State University. As a private tutor, I tutored students on the internet and at their homes. I have tutored children and adults. Some pupils prefer a slow teaching style, while other clients move quickly through the content.
Approach
As a child, I wanted my teachers to be patient with me. As a tutor, I am patient with my clients. First, I teach my students the main concept. I then ask them if they have any questions. I answer the questions and check for understanding. I then let the students work on their problems under my supervision. We then work on some more difficult problems employing the same concepts.
