About Me

I have been an educator for 18 years. I have taught Honors English at the middle school level Enrichment classes, and English as a Second Language. For two years I taught English to students in China. I also was an Intervention Specialist and worked with students on English language arts including reading comprehension and test-taking skills.

Experience

I worked at a middle school in Las Vegas for ten years and then I relocated to Charlotte and have taught Enrichment and Intervention classes. In Charlotte, I was also an English Second Language teacher. I created the curriculum for Enrichment, ESL, and Intervention making sure the content was engaging and interactive.

Approach

My approach to learning is based on the belief that every student is capable of learning new skills with the right teacher and approach to being a lifelong learner. Viewing learning as an adventure makes the challenge more rewarding.
