I have an all-white dwarf lionhead rabbit, named BunBun. He has fur around his face like a lion, while the rest of his fur is short. He is my number one buddy.

About Me

In 1994, I graduated from Golden Gate University with an MBA in marketing management. Today, I am a Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist. I spend my days as a senior instructor for the Mental Health Association. I teach an 80-hour course to people diagnosed with mental health and substance use to take the same certification exam that I did. I understand how to impart knowledge with compassion, empathy, and patience. I can be trusted to be punctual and organized.

Experience

Learning anything new can feel daunting, especially if you think you are the only one who doesn't know how to do something. I get it. I've helped many students not just to use a computer but also to understand what they are doing. To use is to be robotic, to understand is to be awakened to knowledge. I've watched students transition from feeling embarrassed to empowered. Learning is a gift that we give ourselves.

Approach

All tutoring takes place using your computer, laptop, or tablet. I will come to you. I am a hands-off computer teacher. You will sit at the computer. I will stand behind or sit beside you. I am a firm believer in letting the student set the pace. It doesn't make sense for us to move from one concept to another if there are still questions.
