Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I am currently an English major, working towards my bachelor's degree. Reading comprehension and understanding is a key component to not only degree but also my own avid reading habits. I have taken several upper division courses at the college level, many extra-curricular courses based on interest in literature history, and I plan to continue my education until I have received my PhD.

English Tutoring

In alignment with AP English- In middle school and high school, I took AP English and passed both with flying colors. Now as an adult and a student at Arizona State University, I am an English major with a lot of courses and education under my belt that gear directly towards the English studies. This is my cup of tea, and I hope to pass that passion on to at least one person in my lifetime.

Homework Coach Tutoring

I have been tutoring since I was in middle school as a way to earn money for my own things. As I grew up, I continued tutoring until I had children of my own focusing on how to help them with their education and focusing on mine. I have taken numerous parenting classes, homework support classes, and led homework support groups including having worked for elementary schools during their summer programs.

Communication Tutoring

I have completed all of the necessary courses for my communications requirements in both high school and college. I also have been the commencement speaker for my local community college, knowing firsthand what a clear and concise voice is capable of doing. I have a passion for helping others and with that comes the need for highly competent communication, with which I am also still taking advanced level college courses to continue improving my own!

SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring

Going hand in hand with both SAT reading and English, verbal and writing skills are based off of communication. As an English major, not only have I taken many upper division courses on all of these classes, but I have an innate understanding of the value these skills possess. I have been a commencement speaker for my local community college, I have been a guest speaker for numerous local groups, and I have a specific love for writing. I am an A+ student in this category and have never received anything less.

SAT Reading Tutoring

SAT Reading is primarily about the comprehension of what you are reading and being able to fluently read the passages given to you. I have not only given many speeches, taken a fair share of communication courses, but I also have a deep connection with comprehension in reading. I personally have taken SAT prep to help multiple children that I tutored while in school so that I had a better understanding of what to expect for the student.

SAT English Tutoring

I am an English major with a passion for the English language, a dying art in a world compensated with AI. I have a specialized focus on these courses with which I have never received anything lower than a B+ in and strive to know more daily. Testing is a matter of strategic skill in which every kiddo is different, meaning the more strategies you try the more likely you are to find the right one- something that I have had to do with both of my children.

History Tutoring

Although an English major, I love to delve into the history of different eras in time. I have taken many history courses over the years as a student and focused often on the past that built America to encourage and help other students that I was tutoring during that time.

Reading Tutoring

As an avid reader and an English major, I have taken a multitude of classes that not only require reading, but also require comprehension to be able to efficiently read. I have taught both of my children basic reading skills before preschool; I have taken courses on how to improve reading skills for diagnosed ADHD children and have tutored elementary-high school students within my home as a young adult.

Study Skills Tutoring

Plain and simply put, I am a planner. My daughter has severe ADHD and so does her dad, both of which struggle with sitting and being able to study or learn new things. I have personally come up with a numerous amount of study skills, taken specialized parenting classes, and talked with many homeschooling groups to find out different techniques that help different kinds of children. This has helped my own daughter to now be at level with the other kids her age.

Writing Tutoring

I am an accelerated writer with a "gift" that I have been granted. I am a very well-spoken communicator, but I exceed in writing. I have taken courses on women writers, famous writers, writing skills, learning techniques, advanced writing classes, writing workshops, and have considered starting a small journalism project with one of my local outreach programs. I have never received anything less than an "A" in any of these courses.

Writing Advance Tutoring

As an experienced writer in college, with many courses to back up my foundational knowledge, I find that high school students sometimes need just a little more creativity to spark their imagination. I have taken numerous writing workshops at my local bookstore, online, and through school. Writing is a basic skill but is able to become so much more than just a basic skill.

Health Tutoring

I have taken many health courses previously because I had aspired to become a doctor before I realized my passion was reading and learning and not actually being a medical professional. These courses and working as a CNA, CMA, a Medical Scribe, and a previously declared pre-med major has helped in my understanding of the world around me. I passed these classes with A's and still work in the medical field part time as a scribe and administrative assistant.

Science Tutoring

Previously declared a pre-med student, I spent a lot of time in the world of science and still do as a healthcare worker. These science classes not only were required but they also allowed me to have a greater understanding of the world around me and its processes. I excel in all of my science courses and love to give life to just the knowledge that's presented through a textbook.
