I am a Journalism major but I fell in love with education. I have become enthralled with educating our young scholars in all subjects and test preparation. I am also an expert in SEL techniques along with creative writing skills. I pride myself on being a leader and pillar of my community.
About Me
I am currently an enthusiastic paraprofessional for the School District of Philadelphia while earning my bachelor's degree at College Unbound in Leadership and Organization. I hope to graduate in May of 2025 and become a education/pennsylvania/philadelphia">special education teacher. After my shifts, I find time to tutor many of the young scholars in my community at our local community center. This has become a leisure activity for me because I can see that our youth struggle with today's curriculum. It's become my passion to assist our future leaders in understanding the importance of education.
Experience
My experience comes from eight years of being a paraprofessional and conducting small group learning sessions. Also, I have led STEM classes as the lead instructor which also required me to sometimes teach on an individual level.
Approach
I find that maintaining a professional demeanor for high school or elementary school is essential to ensure a conducive learning environment. Making sure that the goals and expectations are clear with both students and parents, to set the stage for productive sessions. Always be inviting and welcoming.
