Saunsuray grew up in Zimbabwe and South Africa. In college, Saunsuray was on the dance team and served as Public Relations Chair for the Golden Key International Honor Society. Currently, she loves to cook, garden, and travel.

About Me

Saunsuray has worked with students in courses like accounting, finance, economics, and various other business courses. She calls herself a "happy wife and proud mother, and world traveller and nature lover" whose goal is to become a college teacher. She has both an AS in advanced business and a BS in finance (with a minor in accounting) from Penn State and is currently an MBA student at the urbana-champaign">University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her work experience encompasses five years in business and nonprofit consulting and development, as well as three years in investment and banking; she worked at companies such as Vanguard and PNC, as well as NGOs.

Experience

Sainsbury has been tutoring accounting and started teaching by helping her peers in classes at Penn State; she then went on to formally tutor business courses for the Nittany Lions football team. "All my students saw improvements in their test scores," she reports. "With my help, they were able to better balance academics and sports."

Saunsuray graduated in the top ten per cent of her class at Penn State's Smeal College of Business.

Approach

Saunsuray believes that everyone is capable of learning, and some learners' biggest hurdle is effective teaching. As such, she takes an adaptable, goal-oriented approach to tutoring. "What captivates me about teaching is the profound impact an educator can have on a student's success," she says. "I enjoy simplifying problems and concepts, ensuring that my students grasp them with ease."
