Fun Facts
I’m a proud plant parent to over 15 leafy friends, an art and music lover who enjoys collecting vinyl records and art books, and a nature enthusiast who dreams of their next camping trip. When I’m not experimenting with recipes or attending an indie concert, you’ll find me diving into creative projects, from digital painting or creating clay artworks.
About Me
I am currently pursuing a degree in Technology Leadership and Innovation Management at houston">the houston">University of Houston, where I am building expertise in design, technology, and communication. My academic journey focuses on integrating innovative technology into user-centred design, preparing me for roles in UX design, project management, and business strategy. Alongside my studies, I have applied my skills in hands-on projects, including usability testing and user research, to craft solutions that address real-world challenges and create meaningful impact.
Experience
I have over four years of tutoring experience, specializing in writing, English, elementary math, and sciences. As a classroom tutor, I supported elementary and middle school students as an ESL assistant, helping them transition from Spanish to English. I’ve also tutored my younger sibling and cousins, tailoring lessons to their needs. With five years in customer care, I bring strong communication skills and am now mentoring college freshmen to support their academic success.
Approach
As a first-generation college student, I understand the challenges of navigating a system unfamiliar to my family. Growing up attending charter schools, I often had to find my way, as my parents were unable to offer guidance in a country that was foreign to them. This experience fueled my passion for supporting others in similar situations.
As a previous student ambassador in Houston Community College’s Puente (Bridge) Program, I assisted first-generation freshmen, offering them guidance.
