I'm a huge nerd for philosophy! I enjoy working through the ideas in my spare time, especially when they seem counterintuitive at first. I also write and have directed several short films and a play!

About Me

I am a graduate of Macalester College with majors in English and German. My concentrations in creative writing and critical theory (respectively) challenged me to understand concepts by using them so that I could see how they worked myself.

Experience

As a college student, I participated in creative and argumentative writing workshops, where I worked closely with other students to asses, edit, and improve our work and understanding of the material at hand.

Approach

In school, I was always at my most engaged when I understood the principles behind what I was learning and why I was learning it. I want the people I tutor to feel that they understand any given lesson comprehensively, and are taken seriously as thinkers.
