Fun Facts
One fun fact about me is that I used to play the trombone and got good at it. It started as the only instrument I could play at the time, but I grew to learn to play it, and it is the only instrument I am familiar with today.
About Me
My name is Mamoudou Tounkara, and I am 19 years old. I am asking myself why I wanted to do this job. I believe it is important to help people in communities who need it so that we as a society can move forward, and I feel this position provides a great opportunity for that. I am also a Mechanical Engineering Major at Drexel University, and I hope to earn my degree and get a job to improve people's lives.
Experience
Member of National Honor Society for Highschool scholars where I am apart of a community of highschoolers preparing the transition into college. The Red Cross Club is where I felt the most comfortable, at my Highschool we had this opportunity to help others and participate in community activities designed to learn about red cross and what they do for people. I feel like these experiences are the most important accomplishments above the awards I've received at school.
Approach
In my schooling, I've had great teachers and not-so-great teachers but in my opinion, the best teachers care for their students enough to make sure they understand a certain subject and put in the effort to help them achieve success I aim to take that approach as a tutor.

During my time in AP English Language I tested myself to the fullest and at first was hesitant to take the class. I had the confidence but I didn't feel my work would be good enough until spent time with my teacher during my lunch time, we would talk about things outside of school and that allowed me to feel more comfortable in class to do my best work. If I were to teach someone any subject my first task would be to make that person feel comfortable first because I believe that is the first step in the process.
