Fun Facts
People often find out that I am a diehard astronomer when they meet me. I own two telescopes, one so big that it reaches my shoulders, and you'll often find me stargazing or learning more about the craft, and space, in my free time. When I'm not stargazing, I'm reading, and I especially love poetry. I have been to the same number of countries as I have been to states (seven), and I adore nature in all its forms.
About Me
I am a full-time student in my second semester at the University of North Texas, pursuing a degree in English Language Arts. After college, I want to be either a high school English teacher or an English Professor at a university/community college. Friends and loved ones refer to me as incredibly kind, compassionate, and dedicated, and I strive to lead by that example every single day.
Experience
I don't have any official tutoring experience, but I earned a 34 on both the reading and writing sections of the ACT, I helped two of my friends increase their reading scores on the SAT by 150 and 200 points respectively, and I have never earned anything less than an A in an English class, from middle school all the way to college.
Approach
In middle school, I began to lose my passion for school which I had had my entire life. However, I had a teacher in 8th grade who welcomed me with open arms when I was struggling both academically and personally, and her kindness and persistence helped me gain the love for school that I once had, only even stronger than before.
