Fun Facts
I want to help kids understand things more clearly, which I believe will also help reinforce future critical thinking and logic development. While I like to think I'm well-learned, my primary goal in life is always just making everyone smile and laugh, so I tend to be a bit of a 'goof' at any given time, and I believe it helps to relax others, helping to assuage nervousness, tension, and frustration. A 'smile' doesn't always need to be physical, it's just about making others feel better.
About Me
I enjoy learning and understanding just about anything. Many people have difficulties with Math and Algebra, but I think the real issue is the difference between learning and understanding. Despite being an Arts graduate, Math is something I just genuinely enjoy and have always done. Because math is a universal language, I feel that It is the greatest tool for this type of development.
Experience
Officially, I haven't had any notable tutoring experience. However, as someone who many would consider 'gifted' when younger, I found myself coaching several peers over the years during my education. For whatever reason, things were much easier for me to understand. This persisted even into college, and I often helped to instruct my family members in certain subjects, most often computer-related subjects.
Approach
As a child, my differences were blatantly obvious and upfront. The word wasn't around then, but today I'd be clearly labelled 'Neurodivergent.' This led to social difficulties, forcing the development of masking or coping mechanisms as I matured. I was surprised to see this was an option, as Maya is quite high level in the 3D art and animation sphere. It also happens to be the primary program utilized during my bachelor's major. I won't pretend to be an absolute professional, but I have hundreds of hours put into Maya and feel confident in my ability to assist others.
