About Me

I'm originally from Illinois but have been in the Triangle region of North Carolina for over 20 years. Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Mathematics from NC State U in 2004 (GPA: overall-3.91 major-3.97). Member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies. Howard A. Petrea Award, Mrs. Robert C Bullock Award, and Cary C. Todd Mathematics Excellence Award.

Experience

While I was enrolled at my community college, I was employed tutoring other students in various fields. While at NC State I was employed for both grading and lecture assistance. I also attempted to forge my path as a professional tutor with my own DBA company which resulted in some small success.

Approach

Upon having a student threaten to quit having me as a tutor, I discovered that I was pushing them too hard. This now informs my approach with all students to respect the student's comfort zone and push the boundaries of such only while still receiving positive feedback from the student.
