Fun Facts

One passion of mine is composing music, I love to compose for piano, strings and orchestra. Along with composing, I also love to play classical pieces on the piano from time to time, occasionally performing in small ensembles.

About Me

I am a senior at Wellesley College, I major in Chemistry and Neuroscience, and I really enjoy tutoring and doing research, I'm currently working on my thesis in Neuroscience and applying to MD/PhD programs.

Experience

I've offered peer tutoring at the College level in Chemistry and Neuroscience, along with online tutoring in introductory Python. This included drop-in tutoring, where students would come with questions about homework and more structured sessions I would create worksheets that were tailored to the needs of the class.

Approach

I focus on building strategies to approach difficult or unfamiliar problems by ensuring students have a fundamental understanding of the subject they're trying to succeed in. I avoid directly giving away answers and find ways to help the student arrive at the answer on their own. I tend to encourage students by reminding them of their progress over time so that they can become confident in their abilities.
