Fun Facts

Learning languages is one of my passions, but I also enjoy music, exercise basketball, playing guitar and more! I am the youngest of 3 and I am lucky to have visited 10+ countries around the world. Fun fact: Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world, with over 460 million native speakers! It originated in the Iberian Peninsula and is now spoken across the globe. Also, did you know that min ore than 20 countries where Spanish is an official language? Mexico, Spain, Colombia, etc.

About Me

I currently work as a Document Controller at a construction company. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and throughout my life, I have been learning English (my second language) and Spanish (my first/native language) thanks to a good affordable education I was fortunate to have. In the year 2020, I graduated college with a bachelor's degree in business in Business and I completed a minor in Spanish. I have been living in North Carolina for the past 5 years and I’m glad to call this place home.

Experience

While I have no formal tutoring experience, I have assisted students in improving their Spanish and English skills through personalized lessons. I focused on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, pronunciation, and conversational skills, tailoring each session to fit individual needs. By providing patience and supportive guidance, I helped students build confidence and improve academic performance. I strived to create an encouraging atmosphere where students felt motivated to succeed.

Approach

I believe every student has unique strengths and learning styles. My approach is to create a classroom environment where students feel valued, respected and encouraged to explore their curiosity. Every student learns at their own pace therefore, patience and encouragement are important. I believe it’s important to create an interactive and engaging learning environment using tools such as discussions, multimedia, group activities, etc. ensuring students remain retaining information and engaging.
