I love to garden! I find it relaxing. Sometimes it is successful, sometimes things don't make it. I like to research and find new techniques to try.

About Me

My degree is in Elementary Education, and I have my ESL certification for grades 1-8. I also hold certifications in two states.

Experience

I have 23 years of experience in both elementary and middle school classroom teaching. I have also done some online tutoring.

Approach

I like to observe the student figure out a problem or answer a question to identify where any misunderstanding is and address it from there. Breaking down the content into smaller steps always seems helpful, no matter the subject. Sometimes, it is just misunderstanding the why behind a process that causes a struggle, so breaking it down clarifies that for the student.
