Fun Facts
I work with animals, and I have a passion for biology! I enjoy biking, running and gaming. I have a cat, Nikita, which I love very much.
About Me
I am a substitute teacher for Northside ISD and a mammal keeper for the San Antonio Aquarium. I am currently preparing for law school, and my goal is to become a patent attorney.
Experience
I received a good score on the ACS exam, allowing me to tutor college-level chemistry. I received an A in both Organic Chemistry I and II. I taught General Chemistry lab for 1 year and Biochemistry lab for 1 semester. I have 5 years of Biochemistry research experience and 4 publications (1 first author) in high impact journals such as JACS.
Approach
I struggled in school at an early age but eventually found a passion for science and math with the help of some good teachers. At first, I wanted to teach high school chemistry, but I discovered a passion for biology and research, leading me to pursue a master's. I still have a passion for teaching, though, and I may pursue it as a career in the future. I always try to meet students at their level and use concepts and real-world examples that they already understand to explain new concepts.
