One fun fact about me is that I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I love learning new and interesting facts about history. I also love reading fiction and non-fiction, and I'm currently working on a book.

About Me

I have a degree in English with a writing minor. I'm a writer and editor, an English Language Arts and ESL teacher. I spend a lot of my free time reading and learning something new or learning something more about things I already know well.

Experience

I have a degree in English with a writing minor, and I'm an editor and published writer. I've also taught English and ESL /TESOL to elementary school, middle school, high school students, and adults for 20+ years nationally and internationally.

Approach

Throughout school, not every subject was my best. Early on, I noticed a pattern: I especially loved social studies, reading and English—all subjects where you must process a lot of information and discuss. Also, and probably most importantly, all of my English teachers and professors were the best. They made learning interesting, fun and they all cared about original thought. My approach to teaching/tutoring is inspired by them. I, too, aim to make lessons engaging while helping my students.
