I love to read and watch anime. When it comes to fantasy and sci-fi, I’m a huge nerd. Something about having special powers or living in a magical land always appealed to me. I play sports (soccer, tennis, volleyball), but I’m not competitive. I simply like to play with my friends.

About Me

I am a sophomore at the connecticut">University of Connecticut studying physiology and neurobiology. I am on the pre-med track, meaning that once I graduate, I hope to attend a medical school and become a doctor.

Experience

I have been a TA for elementary school and middle school classrooms. I have also been a supplemental instructor at college.

Approach

As my will to learn continues to decline, I’ve come to realise that people, especially children, have an easier time digesting information when they are motivated and can connect it to something they already love. For my students, I try to connect any subject-specific examples to something they already like, whether that be sports, art, or music. This keeps them focused and creates a schema for the information that they can actively recall in the future.
