About Me
I am a high school physics teacher who works with diverse multilingual students with the Beaverton School District. I specialise in developing the English language while learning physical science. As my interests in physical sciences developed late into my high school career, and being a first-generation Mexican-American college graduate, I anchor my teaching and learning by attempting to bridge a cultural gap in the STEM disciplines.
Experience
I've worked with multilingual students in developing math and science content knowledge for nearly 10 years. The scaffolds in my lesson plans provide the support for diverse students to achieve rigorous academic and content goals while also developing language that allows them to demonstrate proficiency in mathematics and physical science.
Approach
