Fun Facts

You will quickly learn I love sports! I played softball in college as a pitcher. I am a TarHeel fan and love taking in games live. I am also a Yankee fan from when I was a little kid! I enjoy all sports and connecting with students over sports.

About Me

I worked for the YMCA for many years when I graduated college using my Health degree. I went back to get my master's and started teaching. I taught K-4th grades, including some years as a 2nd and 4th grade math teacher. I love teaching, but math is my favourite!

Experience

I have taught for many years, before that I was an assistant, and I am currently substituting most days. I was also an assistant director at a tutoring company in Florida.

Approach

I think it is so important to instil confidence in each student, especially those who struggle. When students believe in themselves more, they want to work more, engage more and are happier in school. Therefore, encouraging students and boosting them up is important to me. I get very excited about their successes, no matter how small they are!!!
