Fun Facts
I’m a lover of music and enjoy playing guitar and drums. If I’m not practising music or reading, you can find me on my bicycle. There’s a freedom on the bicycle you just can’t achieve on public transit or in a car, and it’s great exercise!
About Me
I’m a current student of mathematics, after having returned to school following many years of work in social services. I have completed coursework through Calculus II at CCSF with a 3.7 cumulative GPA. Through my work in social service, I have proven my ability to engage diverse individuals through educational and advocacy roles. I’m excited to utilise these skills to help learners of all backgrounds in a supportive tutoring environment.
Experience
As a program administrator for four years in a mental health crisis facility, I trained dozens of staff on how to properly execute their responsibilities as they related to running a safe, supportive, and compliant daily treatment program. This training role required great attention to detail and an understanding of the different needs and strengths of individuals being trained.
Approach
Through many years of experience in social work, I have a keen understanding that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching and learning. I will strive to use this understanding when assessing students’ individual needs, strengths, and learning styles.
