Fun Facts
I’m a lifelong learner myself! I’ve always loved picking up new languages and skills. I believe learning should never stop and I can’t wait to share that excitement with you!
About Me
Hi! I’m Rachel, and I’m excited to be your guide on this learning journey. As someone who’s experienced both collectivist and individualistic societies, I believe in the power of community and connection, especially in the classroom. I’m passionate about helping students grow, not just in their language skills, but in their confidence and understanding of the world around them. I specialise in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), French, and beginner-level subjects with a focus on creating an open, supportive environment. Whether you’re starting from scratch or just looking to build on your existing knowledge, I’m here to meet you where you are. I understand the challenges that come with learning something new, so I tailor each lesson to fit your pace, learning style, and personal goals.
I believe in making learning engaging and interactive, with plenty of opportunities for you to practice and feel supported along the way. My goal is not just to teach, but to empower you to use what you’ve learned in real-life situations.
Experience
I have hands-on experience in tutoring and language learning, and I’m passionate about supporting others as they explore new languages and skills. Whether helping students learn English as a Second Language (ESL), French, or other beginner-level subjects, my experience is rooted in understanding the needs of each student and guiding them at their own pace.
Through informal tutoring, cultural exchanges, and self-directed learning, I’ve developed a strong ability to break down complex concepts.
Approach
My approach to teaching is centred around patience, adaptability, and engagement. I believe that every student learns differently, and I make it a point to tailor my lessons to suit individual needs. Whether you need a structured approach or prefer a more flexible, conversational style, I’m here to ensure you feel supported and encouraged throughout the learning process.
I incorporate interactive exercises, real-world examples, and plenty of opportunities for practice into each lesson.
