Experience

As a member of the National Honor Society and AVID in high school, I had the opportunity to travel to local elementary and middle schools weekly to tutor students in various subjects, with a focus on reading and writing. This experience allowed me to develop strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts in a way that’s easy to understand. Now, as a Baylor University student, I continue to apply that same passion and patience when helping others grow in their skills.

Approach

Growing up, I always enjoyed English, but I know that for many students, reading and writing can feel overwhelming. Through my experience tutoring younger students in AVID and the National Honor Society, I learned that every student has a unique way of learning; it just takes the right support to bring out their confidence. I approach each session with patience, encouragement, and a focus on building both skill and self-esteem. My goal is to make learning not just easier, but genuinely enjoyable.
